Too Hot to Handle

My Grandpa's KL Brand
(Technically this wouldn't work so well if this was actually how the brand faced, it would be backwards once it was on the cow's hip--I flipped it so that it was the mirror image)

a different perspective

Trying to photograph a subject at an unusual angle has been a challenge for me. But a good opportunity to think outside the box. These aren't that great but just a couple that I thought I'd share.

Fascination with "L"

What IS this obsession with the letter L? Well, let's see, Lincoln County, Lincoln Lynx, Lynx Lair.

Action!

Sorry to post this a bit late, shot Friday night, but not posted until Sunday. The photos were indoors with ambient light, from WAY back in the audience, a difficult undertaking to say the least. Shooting at ISO 5000 to get even the minimum shutter speed (1/160 in this case) What is the guideline, something like the shutter speed should be double the focal length? And this would only take camera shake into consideration, not subject movement? Anybody know?

Making Up For Lost Time w/ Action Shots....

I wasn't really excited about the action theme and then I almost went overboard with it in just two days of taking pic's--amazing what can happen when the sun shines!!  Nice to have my computer back and be able to enjoy my camera again, too!

Does this count as an action shot if it's a shot of my three year old about to slap me?

Pretty weak on the Silhouettes, but here's a couple unintended ones.....

Walking down the hall one night I glanced at my front door and liked the effect so I grabbed a quick shot.

I wasn't looking for a silhouette, but ended up kind of liking the effect afterwards and kept it.
