I have Photoshop, but am certainly not proficient at it. Took a class via CCSN once, but it was more about accomplishing bizzare effects than creating something appealing. I also recently purchased Lightroom, and love it for sorting and browsing our collection of photos from nearly 50 years.
My "photoshop" program is "Live Pix - Small Office/Home Office" and I used the cutout tool on the top photo, then placed the cutout portion over a black background, and opaque'd the edges a little. The second photo was just cropped to keep the main center of interest on the two pumpkin-pickers!
