Gee, I think I recognize someone in the "Indian Cave" in Condor Canyon - great shots, Steff! And both the little fisherman, and the ATV making "crop circles" are great action shots! But my fave is the skyline and cliffs - Rainbow Canyon?? The diffused late-afternoon (early morning?) lighting, and the clouds just make that shot fabulous.
LOL Barb. Do you know that lady in the cave? she's a real wild one! The top 3 are taken with my phone. Didn't have my cannon :( and yes the sky and cliffs is just before you get to Kershaw Ryan. lighting is late afternoon.
The cave was used by early settlers to store ice. My grandfather and his brother cut ice from the creek and stored it in large blocks on sawdust for the 24th of July celebration. Of course, this all was before electricity came to town in 1938/39. The front of the cave was covered with wood planks to keep the air outside out. I have a picture somewhere of the cave boarded up and my grandpa and his brother standing outside with their long 2-person saws.
