I would have much preferred to photograph a Lilly but living out in the sticks, there just aren't any florists around. :( So I went with something we had. I wanted to capture the lighting differences on the ball. Not sure which i like better.

Personally, I like the top one better. The bottom one is nice, but it is "just" a ball; the top one has more character - to have added a mitt and a bat would have completed the "still life"!
