Circular Eyes!

Spotted this pair in our back yard just a few minutes ago. The one in the top photo seemed to be entertaining the idea of building a nest, working with the loose material. Taking the photos was a balance of wishing to get closer, but knowing they could fly off in an instant. These remained a lot longer than past experiences with owls. I suspect they were siblings.

This circle delivers a requirement of life....

This is the source for "Jim's watering hole." I insist it "leak" a bit, and enjoy watching the wildlife which frequent our back yard to enjoy a drink or bath.

Still life

I would have much preferred to photograph a Lilly but living out in the sticks, there just aren't any florists around. :( So I went with something we had. I wanted to capture the lighting differences on the ball. Not sure which i like better.

Tourism - kinda

Our Russian house guests were amazed the flag of the former Soviet Union was displayed at the Panaca 24th parade. Sorry the photo quality was a bit lacking. Shot with a point & shoot at a moving target.

Still Life with Cat

OK, it's early for next week, but I won't be back before the next one is due. I did a little "photo-shop-ing" to improve the original on this one!

Beauty and blight

Way Behind 4th of July Shots

I am not finding much time to take pic's lately, at least the flag was out in the front yard so I could get a small effort in.  Then it took me twice as long to actually get them on the computer!
