Darkness Falls

Twilight on Bear Lake

Moonrise over Pernacky

Viaduct Lights in Portland

  1. I most love the Viaduct Lights shot - the symmetry of the two lampposts, and how the light glows out of the lamps.. with the darkness behind, and shadowy area of the "bench" along the viaduct. The moon shot is nice, too; I like the tree in the foreground. It sets the photo off well. And the ripples in the water at Bear Lake are very nicely caught; the foliage in the lower right bothers me, though - the one "weed" sticking straight up into the shot - if you could crop it out, I think it would be a GREAT shot.

  2. It's funny Barb, I have a shot of the boat at Bear Lake framed w/o the weed in the foreground but I was looking at the lines of the hills and the water ripples and was - at the time - trying to get them parallel. The foreground never entered my mind. (Alas, not many thoughts do these days. They enter and pass through with ease.)
