Adventures in Framing

  1. I like the first and third as examples of the assignment. The flower would have been better framed sitting in your palm, but it's a pretty shot as is. The second could have used a little negative exposure compensation, but the darker rock is interestingly framed by the hammer and the larger rock on the left side.

  2. Thank you, High Desert! Point-and-shoots don't have those capabilities... I sure miss my 35 mm film camera, K-1000 "fully manual" where I COULD have done that... Randal, the flower is a Columbine - and the reason I am holding it (rather than trying to frame in palm of hand) is two-fold: first, the wind (ACK!), and second, you cannot see the beauty of this flower when it is hanging down in normal growth pattern!

  3. Have you checked your owner's manual? I've had several point and shoots that had that capability, and they were hardly top of the line models.

  4. What? Read the manual?? Thanks! hee hee... maybe I will give that a try; I keep learning things about it even though I've had it 6 years... ;) BTW, this is a Kodak Easy Share, but it has NEVER truly lived up to its name... a gift from husband (who knows next-to-nothing about cameras, but knew I needed a new one in 2004).
