I took a great walk this evening. There were lots of great photos to be had; here are a few of the ones I found.
Obviously, the yucca are looking good right now!

Very nice! My favorite is the twisted tree trunk. The fourth pic of the canyon may have an animal of some kind in the bottom right quarter. Or, I need to clean my reading specs...
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to clean your specs, Randal, that is a Nuthatch (bird)!! Awesome shot of the little guy! Wonderful shots of the yuccas in bloom (or getting ready to bloom), and the purple penstemons are gorgeous, too! I agree with you on the twisted tree - great texture!
ReplyDeleteYes, that tree basically posed for the camera. Nuthatch, eh? Okay. I can usually tell bald eagles from chickadees, but that's about the extent of my ornothological knowledge. And you just doubled my knowledge of wildflower names!
ReplyDeleteLeave it to the retired park ranger/naturalist to know these things! Yeah, I'm a regular fount of knowledge, except when I forget... which seems to happen more and more these days... ;)
