Weepah Memories

  1. Weepah? Is that by the White River Narrows? I really like the pictographs. Fascinating what the Fremont Culture did with its time.

  2. Some great close-ups there Barb, and yes Randal the Weepah area is off to the west of the narrows. Now a declared wilderness area, so not sure how close one can get with a vehicle. From what folks in PV have told me, Weepah was one of the last homes of the local Native Americans.

  3. We drove in on a "cherry-stem" road, and actually only had to hike 1/2 mile in! The road left Highway 318 about 1/2 mile south of the White River Narrows; but we drove about 8 miles back in to where we started hiking. I was holding these two plants trying to get a decent closeup because the wind was blowing a little.
