Late post

I'm a very amature photographer. Shutter speeds, saturation, things like that are out of my realm. So for "lights at night" I took the above picture, my little girlie, Irish, reading a book she loves. Obviously, I'm late for the "lights at night" but if that is a problem, I think this pic could also fit in the "someone using both hands" week!

  1. Oh, this is sweet! What is she using to read her book? It casts a lovely light on her face, yet the title of the book is still in perfect enough light (and focus) to be visible. Wonderful shot, Marie - you have a lot of talent!

  2. Don't sell youself short Marie. This blog is intended to be a sharing and learning process for all. It certainly is for me. I have NO creative talent, only tech ideas, so people like you are an inspiration. We can all benefit from the areas of photography expertise and talent of others.

  3. I am the opposite of Jim--I think I can be occasionally creative, but have NO technical side--my brain resists technical details, so I just go on a whim with what I like and am totally amateur, too, but have really enjoyed ALL of your pic's because they are personal and I that is why camera's and photography are so important to me, because they preserve those otherwise fleeting moments and keep our memories lasting so much longer!!

  4. I think this is a very creative shot. A picture doesn't have to fit into a specific category.
