spring has sprung

  1. As commented on a previous "Spring" submission, great DOF control, and sharp focus on the foreground. However,in my opinion the white background sort of washes out the intended subject. Hope you don't mind a tad bit of critique, and I expect the same. This blog is to help us become better photographers with no hurt feelings, right?

  2. I agree. I think if I had captured the blue sky behind instead it would have made the flowers "pop" more. I welcome the critique, it helps me become a better photographer. Absolutely no hurt feelings. Thanks Jim!=)

  3. Wow, yes, a blue sky would have really made the flowers jump out. I am myself very guilty of only "seeing" the subject in a photo, and oblivious of the background until viewing it later.

  4. I agree, blue sky would have made it pop more, but is the white background snow?? Such perfect focus - the pistils and stamens of these cherry(?) blossoms stand out so well - maybe you could photoshop the background?

  5. I think it is cool how more than one blossom is in focus, almost all of them! And it is in REALLY GOOD focus! Very pretty. :-)
