I don't know my flowers so I will just have to say that picture #3 actually made me look twice at (which is a good thing). It has the look of being underwater with the blue background. I am curious the circumstances that this picture was taken (i.e. time of day, location, digitally altered, etc). What an interesting shot.
Picture #3 was taken "in the shade," fairly early morning, at Desert Botanical Gardens - no enhancement of any kind on this photo (actually, none of mine are enhanced). The deep blue of the sky kind of mixed with the different greens of the leaves; I wouldn't have thought of that as "underwater" look until you mentioned it, since I knew it was taken in the desert! Thanks, Shawn! And Jamie - I love the red poppies, also. My sister is enamoured of them - they grow in southern France, where her husband's grandparents lived - so she was also snapping photos of these!
I love red poppies!!! They're all over in the southern Italy area :'( I miss them!
