Windows

I think I joined the blog about two hours ago, and then I went on this little adventure. I had to jump over a No Trespassing fence and it was snowing like crazy! When the snow melts I want to go back here because there are a lot of things to take pictures of! So much fun!

  1. I think there have been many of us who found ourselves "trespassing" to get the shot.

  2. I think I hurdled the same sign last saturday. Is this the old mill? I got my van stuck in the snow. Had to call for backup. lol.

  3. Actually it is up at the Ely Valley Mine. I have always wanted to trespass but never have, and I don't know why I decided to in a blizzard! It was so funny cause I was walking along and all of the sudden fell into the snow up to my thighs, and I thought I was falling in a mine.... Ha ha!

  4. Looks like a great spot for pics. I really like the contrast of the rust to the white building.

  5. The black and white one really shows great contrast with the "checkerboard" windows. The white snow falling in front of the black windows...so cool Sarah!

  6. Thanks guys! Adam - This place would be awesome to take more pictures at. The mine here is bright red - awesome! There are a lot of out buildings and old rusty stuff. I really want to go back but I want someone to go with me cause I am afraid of falling in a mine shaft, getting caught trespassing, or etc. lol

  7. I like the black and white almost as well as the color - it is more nostalgic in B & W, but the colors have an interesting effect! Talk to Albert Cottino if you want to go there "legally" - I am sure he would let you go in (or go with you).

  8. OMG! Is Albert Cottino the owner? I will have to talk to him for sure! I would love to have permission, cause I seriously visioned a man with a gun chasing me off the property.... Ha ha!

  9. He is not the owner, just the caretaker. He led a "tour" around the mine property for a group of us, a few years ago, and I shot a couple rolls of film that day!
