I took these pics of the flowers my wife received for Valentines.
I tried to do some focus stacking on this one. Definitely need to play with that software some more.
For those with a Passion for Photography
You don’t take a photograph, you make it. –Ansel Adams
Focus stacking is a new challenge for me, and fascinating. Had never even heard of it before reading on the POTN forum. As I have mentioned somewhere before on this blog, the purists (did you see the mushroom photos on POTN?) use a "focus rail" to eliminate problems with stepping the lens focus. However, good focus rails are not cheap, so maybe incremental lens focusing for me!
ReplyDeleteI will have to look for the mushroom photo. I found this website you maybe interested n Jim http://photomacrography.net/. Have to love all the new things you can try with photography.
ReplyDeleteJust checked it out, and WOW, do I have a Lot to learn! However, it will be fun. Macro photography, and the subjects therein, is a whole new world in itself. Thanks Adam!
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing closeups of the pistils (stamens?) - from the Calla Lily?? My favorite is the last one, with the water droplet on it!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that sight you mentioned is crazy--I am reminded now that my pic's are fun but totally amateur-hooby. Still, it blows my mind what you can do with photography and the beauty that can be found in the smallest and most unexpected places. Your pic's are great-- though the first and last are my favorites with due to the color of the first and the droplet on the last.
