Going for the Edgy look

Self portraits are not my thing. This has been a great challenge to break out of my comfort zone and try something new. I wanted to try something a little dark, and edgy. This came out ok, but still need to work some more on it. This pic was taken in the dark with the flash off camera to the right, with no diffusion.

  1. EEk! Seriously you look like a murderer. Creepy. Glad you are trying new things. Way to go.

  3. I'm a huge fan of old movies and this is the quintessential Alfred Hitchcock. Way to go Adam!

  4. I wouldn't say he looks like a murderer, just very serious. What is that thing over your shoulder - it is distracting from the otherwise clean lines of your face? The lighting was wonderfully done!

  5. As soon as I saw this, I thought the same as LIsa--Hitchcock! This could totally be a cover for one of his tales. At the same time, I also can see it being avery thoughtful, 'coming out of the dark' image. All in all very cool.
